'Afro-Latin Percussion' Workshop *N*

Teachers: La otra rumba We will learn the basic rhythmic patterns from traditions such as Afro-Cuban, Afro-Peruvian or Afro-Colombian, exploring different languages of percussion and their role within each culture. We will work on coordination, listening, pulse and collective interpretation, connecting with the rhythm and also with the historical and cultural context of these musical styles. You must bring an instrument and no previous knowledge is necessary.
