"Labor" show, by Pepe Seguí

Based on the ideas expressed by William Morris in his lectures, and through the manipulation of objects, small automatons and period audiovisuals, the audience is challenged to reflect on how modern labor and consumption structures have been linked to forms of slavery, where individual freedom, creativity and the feeling of community have been crushed in favor of a system that promotes economic profit above all else. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
