Conference 'Great conversations. Fascism and (dis)memory'

In a context marked by the rise of new expressions of the far right, the trivialization of authoritarian discourses and disputes over historical memory, this inaugural conference proposes a reflection on the relationships between fascism, democracy and collective memory. What remains today of the fascisms of the 20th century? How are their narratives constructed and transformed? What role do memory policies play in the defense of democratic values? What risks does forgetting entail?
